Nasta Yakavitskaya is a researcher working with documentary and art photography, video and archive. Nasta is originally from Belarus, currently based in Uzbekistan. She studied television directing at the Belarusian Academy of Arts and ecology (sustainable development of regions) at St. Petersburg State University. 

In her projects, Nasta explores the themes of preserving cultural heritage and protecting the environment, the connection between a person and his home. Also an important topic of research is the history and myths of Karelia, the life and traditions of the indigenous peoples of the Leningrad region.
